The Women’s wing of
the ruling New Patriotic Party [NPP] in the Central Region has vowed to win all
23 seats for the party in the region.
The group made known during its regional women’s conference held in Mankessim
in the Central Region a couple of days ago.
The conference was spearheaded by the regional women’s organizer, Madam
Charlotte Adwoa Antwi under the theme – ‘Agenda 23 Seats In Central Region’.
Addressing the gathering, the National Women’s Organizer of the ‘Elephant’
party, Madam Kate Gyamfua lauded the group for their initiative and urged
them to achieve their target in the 2020 election.
According to her, “women play a very pivotal role in politics and in all aspects, therefore they must be encouraged.”
She has urged members of the party to
remain united so as to retain power in the forthcoming 2020 elections.
She called on members to put aside their
differences and rally behind President Akufo-Addo to successfully deliver on
his promises.
“It’s time for us to put our differences
aside and start the re-organisation of our women’s wing in the Region and with
a united front we can conquer the battle ahead of us in 2020”, she called.
