On the back of the commissioning of the toilet roll factory at the nsawam prisons by the Veep, the prisons service has yet again shown commitment towards deepening the President’s industrialization drive by establishing a water processing plant at the James Camp Prison. The Deputy Minister, Mr Ahenkorah who stood in for the Trade and Industry Minister reiterated the Vice President’s call for patronizing made in Ghana goods which is the surest way to creating jobs and increasing government revenue. “The prison service itself must serve as off takers in this venture to ensure a complete value chain process for the factory”.. he stated. Mr. Ahenkorah further commended the commitment by Ghanaian entrepreneurs in fulfilling the 1d1f industrial transformation agenda. The vision of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is to move away from the export of primary commodities to value added production, and would continue to support local manufacturing companies in the context of One District One Factory initiative. This will create jobs and save foreign exchange.
