STC Back With A Bang ...As Accra-Kumasi Starts Tuesday

The suspended Accra-Kumasi transport service by the State Transport Service will resume next week Tuesday with 10 brand new coaches dedicated for the route.

The Managing Director of Intercity STC Coaches Ltd (STC), Nana Akomea, announced the re-launch of the company’s Accra - Kumasi service in an interaction with the media and promised to ensure travelers are given the best treatment on board all STC coaches.

He said the coaches will move at an hour interval.
According to him, the Kumasi market is important to the company's fortunes since many nationals as well as workers from other parts of West Africa conducted their businesses in the metropolis.
He appealed to officials and workers of the State Company to partner him to make the Intercity STC Coaches brand the obvious choice for travelers in the country.
According to him, the new STC possessed all the qualities that would make it a vibrant brand, adding that the efforts of workers would greatly help to restore the company's image to its original status.

Addressing a management meeting in Accra, Mr Akomea tasked officials and workers to provide quality service to its customers.
This, he posited, would make the brand the most appealing to the Ghanaian public and travelers across the country.

The MD bemoaned the dwindled image of the state transporter but promised to ensure it is resuscitated to play the role it was known for previously.
He asked that officials conduct themselves in manners that would endear the company to the public and make the brand the travelers’ choice.

Nana Akomea entreated staff to bring their professional expertise to the rebranding of the company since it will need that to attract customers to its fold.

He disclosed that, STC had just 50 coaches nationwide which was woefully inadequate and that he was doing everything possible to double the current fleet of coaches of STC.
