News Politics NDC Will Elect Bagbin To Win Power -Communication Officers By admin Posted on January 30, 2019 5 min read 0 0 502 Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on Google+ Share on Reddit Share on Pinterest Share on Linkedin Share on Tumblr A group of National Democratic Congress (NDC) Communicators has welcomed the party’s publication of the ballot for its upcoming Congress to elect a Presidential Candidate for the 2020 election, saying the milestone inches the party closer to electing Second Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Hon. Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, as flgaberer. Led by Clement Galle, a member of the NDC’s Communication Team in the Wenchi Constituency of the Brong Ahafo region, and James Dagaba, a Deputy Communications Officer, the group held a press conference in Accra on saturday to hit home their point. “We are absolutely delighted that the build up towards the Congress is now a freewheeling one, having been able as a party to remove all the impediments in our way, including the court suit that placed an injunction on the Congress. “Our delight is even more fuelled by the fact that the overall progress means we are gaining in on the day when we will elect Hon. Alban Bagbin as the Flagbearer of our beloved party for 2020,” Mr. Clement Galle said to wild applause from fellow communicators in the audience. According to him, the NDC is poised on electing the Nadowli-Kaleo MP, whose track record has no loopholes that the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) can use to detract and paint him black to voters. Unlike former President John Mahama, he said, Hon. Bagbin does not have his name tainted with corruption and incompetence and therefore will be too difficult to handle by the NPP. “Ladies and gentlemen of the media, it is not for nothing that the NPP themselves have openly begged for the NDC not to elect Hon. Alban Bagbin, a man who has groomed both President Akufo-Addo and former President John Mahama before; they have performed abysmally in office and know that Ghanaians will demand a better alternative to Akufo-Addo in 2020. therefore they are counting on us in the NDC making the mistake of not electing our very best, especially Hon. Bagbin…they rather want us to elect former President Mahama so that they can easily discredit him with his past. “But we want the NPP to know before hand that the NDC will not make that mistake; we are going to elect Hon. Alban Bagbin for 2020 so that Ghanaians will have the clearest alternative to choose away from the incompetence, nepotism, and massive corruption under Akufo-Addo” Mr. Clement Galle said. On his part, James Dabaga said Hon. Bagbin’s position on the ballot is fateful and strategic. “Fate itself has placed the man under your nose so that you can easily just thumbprint against his name. We the delegates have no excuse to Miss Bagbin on the number 1 position on the ballot,” he said. Mr. Dabaga pointed out that the massive achievements in Ghana’s Health sector attributed to former President Mahama are mostly the achievements of Hon Bagbin who used his tenure as Health Minister to program them. “Hon. Bagbin was the brain behind the CHPS Compound idea, he was the brain behind the Ridge Hospital, which he had proposed to late former President Mills, and so on and so forth,” Mr. James Dabaga said.
