The Osu Ashante Blohum Dzaase under the Traditional Council, has indicated that there is no dispute about the legitimacy of the Nii Mankralo to act as Mantse (King) of the Osu Traditional Council in the absence of a Mantse.
In a Rejoinder to the New Crusading GUIDE against a publication headlined: “Mankralo Cannot Be Acting Osu Mantse,” it noted that the head of Osu Ashinte Blohum Dzaase family still recognizes Nii Arko Nortei as the legitimate Mankralo of Osu, and that no section of the Family could purport to destool the current Nii Mankralo.

REJOINDER; ‘MANKRALO CANNOT BE ACTING OSU MANTSE’
The office of the Mankralo of the Osu, Tradional Council, Nii Arko Nortei IV, write to demand a rejoinder on the above Headline story published in your Newspaper dated 16th February 2021. He also demands that the publication of the Rejoinder must be given the same prominence as the original story at your front page.
Nii Mankralo believes that your story has caused considerable damage to his reputation as the Mankralo of the Osu Traditional Council and acting Mantse (King) of the Council since the demise of the Osu Mantse Nii Okwei Kinka Dowuona VI.
Nii Mankralo ofOsu, Nii Arko Nortei IV, further believes that the publication of your story, which attacked his legitimacy as the Mankralo of Osu, with a so-called purported allegation of destoolment without crosschecking from him, was a deliberate and calculated attempt in connivance with other FAKE PARTY (REBELS) from the Osu Ashinte Blohum Dzaase, who have no legitimacy in the Osu Traditional Council.
Our time and tested customs and traditions of we the Osu people is that in the absence of a Mantse, the Nii Mankralo of Osu automatically acts until a new Mantse is installed. So in our current situation where the Nii Mantse Nii Okwei Kinka Dowuona VI, has gone to village, the Nii Mankralo of Osu, Nii Arko Nortei IV is the acting Mantse of Osu Traditional Council.
Again per our customs and traditions, the signatories to the Osu Stool are, Nii Mantse, Nii Mankralo and Klottey Wulomo, so there is no dispute of the legitimacy of the Nii Mankralo to act as Mantse (King) of the Osu Traditional Council in the absence of a Mantse.
Infect, Nii Mankralo’s finds the below paragraph in your publication as unacceptable “It said, the Dzaase followed all the laid down traditional rites and procedures associated with de-stoolment of the Mankralo and that the position of Osu Ashante Blohum Dzaase has not changed in the matter, notwithstanding the fact that Nii Ako Nortei purports to be a member of the Osu Traditional Council and the Vice President of the Council but Nii Ako Nortei IV has no place in any of Osu Traditional structure and he ceased to represent Ashinte Blohum after his destoolment” Unfortunately, your newspaper failed to publish a single evidence of their so-called alleged
‘laid down traditional rites and procedures associated with the destoolment of the Mankralo of the Osu Traditional Council.
Notwithstanding your failure to publish any alleged traditional rites for destoolment, the office of the Nii Mankralo would like to admit that, there is certain amount of division amongst the Osu Ashinte Blohum Dzaase, my own family. A very few REBEL members of the family are shamelessly pursuing a “SELF Interest Agenda” to the detriment of the entire Osu Ashinte Blohum Dzaase. But they have failed already.
They have failed because these REBEL family members don’t have the legitimacy as the rightful Osu Ashinte Blohum Dzaase to destool or install any Mankralo in the Osu Traditional Council.
The office would like to state emphatically that, Nii Arko Nortei IV is still and remain the legitimate Mankralo of the Osu Tradional Council. The head of Osu Ashinte Blohum Dzaase family still recognizes Nii Arko Nortei as the legitimate Mankralo of Osu, so no section of the Family (REBELS) can purport to destool the current Nii Mankralo.
The office believes that the ethics of your profession (Journalism), demands fair and balanced reportage in your practice. We therefore demand that this REJOINDER be published in it full content to achieve that fair and balanced reportage, which was lacking in your previous publication on the 16th February 2021. All this while its seems we never have the time to bother your occurrences in the dailies since we have a serious work to do on the death of the Osu King, Nii Okwei Kinka Dowuona VI. We therefore wish to inform you that your publications has no merit in Osu matters as you think; because Osu Ashinte has only one accredited Dzaase which is headed by the Osu Mankralo.
