The products which were meant to be supplied in Samanboi were rather diverted to Somanya by suspected independent marketers. One of the suspects, Patrick Nartey was arrested while off-loading the fertilizers, at about 8am yesterday from a loaded truck with registration number: GM 206 -17, containing 800 bags of the chemicals at his private residence in Somanya. A cartel of smugglers is making brisk business, stealing fertilizers government is subsidizing and selling for personal gains. As at press time yesterday details of the arrest were sketchy as police sources said investigations have been commenced into the matter to apprehended the kingpins behind the illicit trade.
