Barely (4) months ago, there was media reports that cited Dr. Kwesi Asabir for his alleged involvement in extortion of huge sums of monies ranging from fifty thousand Ghana Cedis (GH₵50.000) before endorsing the newly qualified Principals of Health Training Institutions for postings. Dr. Kwesi Asabir was also cited for recommending his close female friend, Kweley Rebecca, for employment at the Ministry as a Deputy Director of Human Resource, although she isn’t qualified for the position. According to checks, the said lady, Kweley Rebecca did not pass through the needed requirement to hold that position. Following these developments, credible source available to this paper revealed that, Dr. Kwesi Asabir has been asked to proceed on leave for the past three weeks but refused to comply. Dr. Asabir, according to information has transferred the Minister for Health, Hon. Kwaku Agyemang Manu’s driver from the ministry for doing nothing wrong.
