Information gathered by the New Crusading GUIDE over the gruesome murder of the Mankralo (caretaker chief) of Prampram in the Greater Accra region, Nene Atsure Benta III indicates, that his death was as a result of a grand scheme executed to get him out of the way to allow for the installation of one Nene Quarcoopome Parker as Chief of Prampram.

It has been gathered that the late Nene Atsure Benta III had stood against the installation of Michael Quarcoopome Parker as Chief of Prampram because he, Parker, was allegedly unqualified to hold on to that position.

According to information, Michael Quarcoopome Parker was also arraigned to be installed at the time Nene Atsure Benta III was out of town hence, other persons took advantage of the situation and collected huge sums of money from Michael Quarcoopome Parker who, allegedly, claiming to be the chief with the promise of ensuring that the late Nene Atsure Benta III performed the customary rites for his installation.

Meanwhile, another faction had also plotted to install Michael Quarcoopome Parker. This development did not go well with the late Mankralo who stood against the decision to install Quarcoopome Parker as chief.

Our information is that the chief was murdered after a meeting at the Regional House of Chiefs at Dodowa, where the Osu Chief, Nii kinkan Dowouna chaired the meeting.

According to information, there ensued a verbal argument and confrontation at the meetings of the Regional House of Chiefs at Dodowa, after which Nene Atsure Benta III left in anger, sadly to meet his death.

It is however emerging that the stool father to the Mankralo, Nii Nartey IV, together with some elders of the Prampram Mankralo stool, who held a press conference at Ashaiman last Thursday where they levelled some allegations against the deceased, were being suspected as culprits and accomplices in the murder.

Meanwhile, the police according to our sources, are pursuing some three persons who have been fingered as engineers of the killing but are at large.
