It has become one of the busy roads in the Adenta Municipality with over one thousand vehicles plying on it every day. Vehicles from the various communities in Adenta Japan Motors, Akatamanso, and the various lakeside communities use this particular road that stretches from the Shield International School through the Accountancy Training School owned by the Ministry of Finance through The Edbeck Academy into the main Adenta Housing Down estates. This road also connects to Akatamanso and other surrounding communities within the Adenta Municipality
Interestingly, it has been abandoned by the Adenta Municipal Assembly. Whenever it rains, many potholes are created in the middle of the road with mud that splashes on pedestrians including school children and traders along the stretch, giving them a bad experience. Besides that, many vehicles break down on the road due to its bad nature, creating unnecessary traffic jams and congestions that inconvenient both drivers and pedestrians.
Residents and road users claim they have made several complaints to the Chief executive and other officials of the Adenta Municipal Assembly but nothing has been done about it.
As you can see all the gutters along the road have been constructed and what is left is refilling and covering them with bitumen. The entire place gets dusty during the dry season and flooded during rainfall. This is very bad and we need the Minister of Roads and Highways to come and help put the road to good shape, Solomon Asante a resident told this reporter.
The road has been like this for many years, during every campaign period, the various representatives of political parties will come and promise that thy would construct it when we vote for them, including the Municipal chief executive but nothing has been done about it. So we are pleading with the MCE, the Roads Minister and the President Nana Akufo Addo to intervene and help construct the road.
