A youth group at Agona Kwanyarko, known as Arise, has made it clear that the Agona Kwanyarko Chief Nana Ampem Darko is the legitimate chief who is still at post and has not been destooled as being speculated.
It will be recalled that some sub chiefs of Agona Kwanyarko demonstrated against the Kwanyarko Chief, Nana Ampem Darko, last week and slaughtered a sheep to what they claimed, destool him for allegedly Changing the name of the Agona Kwanyarko Secondary School to his name.
During the demonstration, the Akwamuhene of Agona Kwanyarko Nana Adeisu Nsuprem described Agona Kwanyarko youth as drug addicts; but his comments was perceived as insulting and derogatory by the youth.
Addressing the press during the media interactions , the Angry Kwanyarko youth demanded an apology from the sub chiefs and gave them 24 hours ultimatum retract their statements else they would advise themselves.
In his statement, the Organizer of the Kwanyarko Youth Group, Mr Bernard Agyei denied the allegations and rumours in public that, Kwanyarko Chief Nana Ampem Darko had been destooled.
Bernard Agyei further called for peace and Unity to help promote development in Agona Kwanyarko.
