The mortal remains of the late Apostle Dr. Ing. Kwadwo Safo Kantaka would be buried on 25 June, 2026, at Gomoa Mpota, in the Gomoa Central District of the Central Region, which also host the Kantanka Automobile and the Kantaka Herbal Pharmaceutical and Research Centre, the family has disclosed.
Speaking at a press conference organised by family in Accra on Monday, the spokesperson for the family, Nana Kwabena Karikari disclosed that the final funeral rites for the late Kantanka brand would take place on a date to be announced later.
Nana Karikari further stated that all activities connected to the funeral, including communications, traditional processes and cultural arrangements, would be handled exclusively by the Aduana Kotoko Royal Family.
He according to the spokesperson, the family has taken full responsibility for coordinating the burial and related events in honour of the late industrialist, affectionately known as The African Star.
He urged members of the public to disregard any unofficial statements concerning the funeral arrangements unless, they are formally approved by the family leadership.
Nana Kwabena Karikari warned against any communications, stressing that only statement sanctioned by the Abusuapayin of the Aduana Kotoko Royal Family, known as Abusuapayin Nyantakyi Adomako, should be considered authentic.
He advised the public, supporters, and admirers of the late Apostle Safo Kantanka to rely solely on the official family communications to avoid misinformation and confusion.
The Family is therefore inviting the public to participate in the final funeral rites, mourn with them and pay their last respect to the deceased.
The upcoming funeral rites is expected to attract government officials, traditional leaders, religious leaders, business figures and supporters from different part of the country and beyond.
The Family, children and the Kristo Asafo Missions of Ghana appealed to well- wishers and Ghanaians to continue to uphold the family and the Kristo Asafo fraternity in prayers during this difficult period.
Apostle Kwadwo Safo Kantanka was widely known as a religious leader, and also as an inventor, philanthropist, and advocate of African industrialization and self – reliance.
