African University College of Communication (AUCC) has been adjudged the best private university in communication studies at the Private Universities Students Association (PUSAG) Awards held at the National Theatre.
AUCC is credited with some unique courses in communication studies including Strategic Communication, Development Communication, Journalism and Visual Communication.
These courses most of which are master programs in other institutions puts AUCC ahead of their competitors and it’s no surprise they picked up the top Award at the PUSAG Excellence Awards 2021.
In an interview with Mr. Samuel O. Sackey, the Business Development Manager of the University who was present at the awards, he made mention of the new focus of the University which will see a lot of technological innovations to augment current market trends.
He said that Management of the university is poised at making the school one of the most preferred higher learning destinations in Africa. Mr. Sackey again said that although the University began as a communications school and bears the name college of Communications, its business school, The Sam E. Jonah School of Business is doing excellently well with many undergraduate and postgraduate programs being run. AUCC has trained many journalists in Ghana, Africa and the world at large.
During last academic year, the University was one if not the only University which awarded discount to all freshers and continuous students to bring their fees comparable to government subverted institutions.
This year, they are doing it again with discounts to freshers. It’s undoubtedly the best communication University in Ghana because it understands it customers and communicates well to meet their needs.
PUSAG on the night of the awards also rewarded some top personalities for their contribution to education. Dr. EkowSpioGabrah, Hon Yaw OseiAdutwum, Prof. KwasiYankah and Dr. Daniel McKorley were all honoured.
In attendance were the current Deputy Education Minister, DrEkowSpioGarbrah, Former Education Minister and a Diplomat, Prof KwasiYankah, former Minister of State in charge of Tertiary Education among others.
