The founder of Banahene Specialist Hospital, Emmanuel Banahene, has stated that the mission of the health facility is give pregnant women the best health treatment in a bid to reduce maternal death rate in Ghana.
He made this known on Saturday 9th July 2022 at the grand opening of the Banahene specialist hospital in Accra with the theme Better care, Better Touch, Every Time.
According to Mr Banahene, infant mortality rate and maternity death in Ghana’s health system is very high. He noted that about 350 women out of a thousand die in labour. Besides, many children die out of preventable diseases due to inefficient and lack of quality health care system. Therefore, his hospital has prepared ultramodern machines and well trained Gynaecologist and paediatric to provide quality services for pregnant women mothers and children.
He further stated that “Ghana is one of the best countries in portraying tourism. Therefore, providing good and best health services to the citizens will help to attract more foreigners into the country to access our health facilities and also invest in our health systems”.
Furthermore, he promised to offer free medical care this month of July 2022 to commemorate the period in which the health facility began operations.
He said the establishment of the hospital was based on a vow he made to God and also a promise to save lives and promote Good health care in Ghana.
The ceremony was graced by some high level dignitaries from the religious political, business and entertainment arena as well as friends, and family.
The dignitaries included Ogyeahohuo Yaw Gyebi II paramount chief of Sefwi Anhwiaso Traditional Area and president National House of Chiefs, Carlos Ahenkorah MP for Tema west and Dr. Mercy Obrempong Municipal Health Director Tema west.
Banahene Specialist Hospital, an ultramodern medical facilitator is located at the Spintex Road .The facility has a maternity ward, Emergency ward, private ward and a 24 hour ambulance service. It also undertakes post-delivery and antenatal care. It has an ultramodern sound machine in detecting Diabetes, photo therapy and jaundice.
The medical center has the best and topmost physicians, laboratory facilities, Dieticians, gynaecologists.
