The Leadership of Bortey-We in the Greater Accra Region, have sent a warning signal to the Nungua Stool over its persistence in meddling in the affairs of Borteman lands.
They have Indicated clearly that the Borteman lands solely belong to Bortey- We but not any other Family or Stool as the Nungua Stool is illegally trying to claim.
In a statement signed by LumorBoyeModza II,
NunguaGorti, warned all those claiming to have owned the land should stay away before they faced their anger.
The warning by the Bortey-We came as a result of a recent media publication in most Newspapers tittled “Nungua Stool Cautions Lands Commission Over Borteyman Lands”.
The viral publications, the statement noted was uncalled for, adding that no Stool or individual apart from the Bortey-We has the right to do that in the media.
“The Bortey-We people after having met to discuss this issue will wish to sternly caution you to stay off any discourse about Borteyman lands henceforth as not part of your business description” the statement announced.
Below is the statement issued;
RE: NOTICE TO DESIST FROM WORKING ON LAND AT BORTEYMAN
We have sighted a publication in the New Crusading Guide newspaper of Monday April 12, 2021 which is captioned “NUNGUA STOOL CAUTIONS LANDS COMMISSION…OVER BORTEYMAN LANDS”
This followed a different publication titled “TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN. WARNING TO DESIST
FROM WORKING ON LAND AT BORTEYMAN” dated March 22, 2021.
These two publications purportedly sought to caution some persons alleged to be illegally working on Borteyman lands.
As people of Bortey-we, we find the above mentioned publications calumnious looking at the content and we believe it was inspired by ulterior motives.
First, We wish to state categorically that nothing puts you in the capacity to comment on such issues; aside not being an indegene of Nungua, you do not have any ties with Bortey-we; the clan that owns the Borteyman lands hence, it was utterly needless for you to pry your nose into the affairs of our clan.
What baffles the mind is your incessant interest in Borteyman lands when it is not the only Stool lands Nungua owns. Katamanso lands also belongs to Nungua and we don’t see you going about expressing interest or warning people to stay off so why Borteyman lands?
In addition, your whether deliberate or indeliberate misspelling of certain characters in your letter is disrespectful to say the least and smacks of intents to demean WorLumorKonorNuumoBorketeyLawehTsuru XXXIII GborbuWulomo-Shitse,

The Bortey-we after having met to discuss this issue will wish to sternly caution you to stay off any discourse about Borteyman lands henceforth as it is not part of your job description.
