Desmond Abrefah Castigates NDC, NPP …Over Ghana’s Economic Challenges

By Alex Boye

Leader and Founder of the “Save the Nation Movement” Desmond Kwame Abrefah, has blamed both the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) for the challenges facing the country.

He disclosed that the poor state of Ghana’s economy is due to selfish ambitions of leaders of both the NDC and the NPP for years.

Speaking at a maiden press conference by the movement in Accra yesterday, the Independent Presidential Candidate alleged that the sole aim of the leader of   NPP and the NDC was to enrich their pockets.

He therefore pleaded with Ghanaians to ignore the NDC and NPP and vote him into power for the good benefit of Ghana’s development.

“The reason why I am coming to join politics this year 2024 is that I have realized that  our country’s focus and where it’s heading towards is not what we expected it to be. Our water bodies, lands and other natural resources are being destroyed without having anyone fixing them up” he disclosed.

Mr. Abrefah further complained about the high unemployment rate that is creating challenges and national security threats.

According to him the youth prefer enslaving themselves in other countries than staying in the country to exhibit the knowledge they have acquired to build the country.

The future of Ghana, the Independent Presidential Candidate noted, lies in the hands of those who understand the progress and the development of the country, saying that when we take a critical look at the leaders we chose from the beginning to the 4th republic, the country is not doing well as a Nation.

“Any country with a focus on its long term vision will not rely on a political manifesto, rather a national policy. The country must have a long term goal for not less than 20 to 30 years to come. Every country must have the structures of goals and not promises of politicians for their selfish interests to win power” Mr. Abrefah stated.

He attributed challenges that have faced and continue to be experienced by Ghanaians to poor leadership by both the NDC and the NPP.

“I am not seeking power to embezzle money meant for the development of Ghana but to make lives bearable for the ordinary Ghanaian “he assured.

He assured Ghanaians of an all-inclusive governance better than what the NDC and the NPP are offering

He promised to use local Ghanaian experts for the development of the country rather than depending on foreigners for the Nation’s growth.

Mr. Abrefah expressed worry over why the leadership of both the NDC and the NPP have for the past years ignored our university graduates and go out for foreigners from Ghana’s developmental projects.

“I believed Ghanaians have for several years witnessed the poor leadership of both the NPP and the NDC and am therefore appealing to the good people of this country to try me (Desmond Kwame Abrefah) for a better change that would reflect in the eyes of all Ghanaians and the World at large” he stated.

Mr. Abrefah also noted that every country develops by training its engineers to develop, but Ghana is not doing well in this area to help it march with other Nations with regards to development.

He promised to retrieve all Government properties that have been stolen by some political leaders and fix all government properties before thinking of additional ones.
