The Gyaasehene of Asamankese Palace in the Eastern Region, Nana Oppong Adease, has urged disregard for a purported rising tension in the area prior to the celebration of their Ɔboɔdwan festival.
Contrary to the report of tension, the Gyaasehene said Asamankese is calm and everyone is in high spirit preparing for the coming festival.
“A self-styled claim, an imposter in every regard, has made it his business to always paint a gloomy picture of tension in Asamankese when there is none. Interestingly, it is always a particular media house that’s use to publish such stories and it’s not healthy at all, Nana Oppong Adease stated in a Rejoinder to this paper.
The Gyaasehene intimated that, “There is peace and tranquility in Asamankese. It is those who are going round with such publications who are rather painting a picture of tension. It’s a figment of their imagination and I urge all and sundry to treat them with the contempt they deserve and join us in celebrating this year’s Ɔboɔdwan festival. It promises to be grand.”
Nana Oppong Adease however called on the security agencies to investigate and prosecute those behind the publication that there is tension in his town, for they are causing fear and panic, against the reality on the ground.
To the sponsors of this year’s festival and every other institution that wants to be to part of the celebrations, Nana Oppong Adease has urged disregard the publication and come onboard for a fulfilling celebration of the Ɔboɔdwan festival.
