Deputy Minister for Education, Rev. John Ntim Fordjour has made a clarion call to Ghanaian youth to embrace innovation and entrepreneurship so as to contribute meaningfully to national development and attain a dignifying life for themselves and their families in their various fields of study.
The Minister who said this at the 21st Congregation ceremony of the Accra Technical University (ATU)in Accra also explains that, it is only through embracing innovation and entrepreneurship that a successful professional life could be built.
Rev. Fordjour opined that graduates across the world especially in low-income and even some advance countries desire to get a job immediately after school, however some outliers dare to venture into the unknown and embrace innovation that became outstanding and successful in their respective fields. He noted that, such people were those that invented new business and technology and proffered solutions to myriad of challenges facing the world.
“Bill Gate and his colleagues made computers a possibility and dare to dream beyond the average expectation of graduating and expecting someone or government to put a job on his table, and today through his courage and exploits many people have been employed” he noted.

A total of 844 students from Ghana, Benin, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon and the Gambia graduated with various Bachelor of Technology from the faculties of Engineering, Built Environment and Applied Science from the Accra Technical University.
