Private citizen Lumor Borketey from Nungua in the Greater Accra Region is raising alarm over an alleged flagrant disregard of the laws of the land by private developers, Falcon Crest Investment Limited.
Lumor Borketey accuses the company of defying a court injunction to continue developing a parcel of land at Okpoi Gonno near Spintex in Accra.
According to him, the said parcel of land is under contention in court as he claims he legally acquired the land from the Nungua Stool under the authority of the late Nuumo Borketey Laweh Tsuru, the Gborbu Wulomo of the Ga State.
However he realised that somewhere last year, the company headed by one Samuel Kofi Diame started developing the property, forcing him to seek justice via the courts.
The court then placed an injunction on the construction until the determination of the substantive case.
But in what appears to be a complete disregard for the court order, Falcon Crest Investment Limited is still continuing with its development on the land.
This Lumor Borketey terms an act of bad faith hence calling on the government and appropriate authorities to act fast to avert any eventuality and miscarriage of justice.
