The GaDangme Youth Association (GYA) has expressed excitement over the appointment of Daniel Nii Kwartei Titus-Glover as the new Greater Accra Regional Minister.
A statement releases by the group on 4th March 2024 also commended the president, Nana Addo Danquah Akufo Addo, for initiating a good and bold decision to honour the former MP for Tema East.
The Association praised Daniel Nii Kwartei Titus-Glover for the leadership role he has been playing in promoting both human and infrastructural development in Ghana; especially in the Greater Accra Region.
The group reiterated that during the tenure of ex-president, J.A Kuffour, Titus Glover played crucial roles in the region as the Deputy Regional Minister.
“The GYA therefore, believes this appointment is in recognition of his hard work and is expected to add to his valuable contribution to the development and improvement of the lives of the good people of the Region. We are indeed proud of you and remain very positive with regard to your impeccable credentials. You stand a pole position to lead the Region on a sound path towards addressing the myriad of challenges affecting the region,” the group stated.
“The GaDangme Youth Group hopes this new appointment will enable the minister work to reduce high rate of urban poverty, poor sanitation, and growing incidence of youth unemployment particularly in the indigenous communities, townships, and the inner cities.
“Furthermore, GYA is hopeful that Hon.Daniel Nii Kwartei Titus-Glover will live up to the expectation of the youth in the region.
“We hope to have the opportunity to call on you soon to discuss our plan of action on how we intend supporting your work, especially among the GaDangme Youth in the Region and beyond”
