A Political Activist and Businessman based in the United Kingdom, Mr Ernest Kwaku Kobea, has called for the urgent transformation of the country within six months of start of any Government in order to move the country from a stage of stagnation to a progressive state.
According to Ernest Kobeah, the development of Ghana has over the years encountered lots of challenges and several failed attempts to get the system on the right track.
“The Political gymnastics vis-avis disappointment of Ghanaians cannot be under estimated as many believe the country has been retrogressing instead of progressing.” He Said.
Mr. Kobeah said, from Nkrumah’s Regime to the current Government, Ghana has been touted as the gateway to Africa ‘whereas our roads, school, industries, health facilities and other social amenities are on their knees.
‘It is at the back of this that a New Ghana must be built within six months of consistent measures and well thought through plans from Urban to the rural part of the country.
Mr. Kobeah itemized some laid down plans that he believes can be followed to build a new Ghana in Six Months which includes the following areas;
New Accra
The Accra City is going to be changed from it current state to a new state. The New Accra where all roads leading to a nearby town is constructed to make movement easy for the people.
Sewage System Management
Our major problem confronting the country is poor sewage system. In the New Ghana every sewage system from home shall be connected to the sea.
The actual annual total waste production in Ghana has not been estimated yet. This is due to the fact that no data exist on commercial and industrial wastewater production, except that of domestic wastewater. In 2006, the estimated total amount of wastewater (domestic- grey and black waters, produced in urban Ghana were estimated to be approximately 280 million metric tons with increasing spread of processing facilities.
