I’ll cause your Arrest – Wontumi warns Kennedy Agyapong

The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Bernard Antwi Boasiako popularly known as Chairman Wontumi has threatened to cause the arrest of flagbearer aspirant, Kennedy Agyapong if he “threatens” his life again.

Speaking at a press conference in Kumasi, Chairman Wontumi noted that the Assin Central Member of Parliament’s threats on the life of Tiger Eye PI journalist, Ahmed Suale, eventually led to his death and as such he does not take the threats from the NPP flagbearer aspirant lightly.

This comes after Kennedy Agyapong during his “Showdown Walk” in Kumasi over the weekend accused Chairman Wontumi and the Vice President of collapsing the NPP.

Mr. Kennedy Agyapong also dared the Ashanti regional chairman of the NPP and stated that he would give him a “showdown.”

Mr. Boasiako called on the flagbearer aspirant to concentrate on his campaign ahead of the upcoming November 4 NPP primaries rather than attacking him.

‘Ken must listen to me, I will make sure he is arrested if he dares tarnish my image. We know what Ken does, he insults people and goes scot free not me. Ken in the past insulted and exposed Ahmed Suale, I am not him. I will report him to the police for justice”, he warned

The businessman during his showdown walk in Kumasi took on Chairman Wontumi and other bigwigs of the party attributing chaos and destruction in the NPP to them.

He accuses Kennedy Agyapong of disrespecting party structures and getting away with it but warns that he would not allow him to insult his person and be spared.

“Is it not true as Kennedy Agyapong alleges that I am destroying the NPP? You came to Kumasi, failed to meet up or call any of the leadership in the party and government in this region, yet you attacked the Regional Minister, you attacked Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu, you attacked the Education Minister and you attacked me, Wontumi. Now you are there playing saint that it is me rather that is destroying the party. Tell me, who is destroying the party?”, he quizzed.
