The founder of Gethsemane Prayer Center, Elder Ernest Asiedu Darko has charged parents to be more responsible in the caring and nurturing of their children to prepare them adequately for the challenges of life.
According to him, the future of every child rests on the decision the parents take today.
Elder Asiedu Darko who is also principal of Glorious Joy International School located at Akwatia Sadam in the Denkyembour District of the Eastern Region said Parents should desist from using and spending all their savings and earnings on funerals and invest in the future of their children.
He noted that there are several investment portfolios and packages designed by the various banks and security firms like the epacks, Mpacks, fixed deposits among others are yield long term investment returns and investing in some of these projects would help secure the future of their wards.
Elder Ernest Asiedu Darko appealed to the government to employ at least three (3) trained teachers into private schools in Ghana to enable them teach the core subjects like the English, math’s and science.
They made this known to the media at their 3rd speech and price giving day which was held on Friday 17th December, 2021 at the school forecourt.
Glorious Joy International School was established on the 21st September 2009 with 34 students and 8 Teachers. It has now increased to about one thousand. They are currently the winners of the just ended Akwatiaman – UK STMIE quiz in the district.
Speaking to the Assembly member of the area Hon Alex Kwasi Agyei (Mangoro) in an interview with Papa Story TV he noted that, the district assembly will however provide all the necessary teaching and learning materials to the school and also promised to lobby for them.
He therefore pleads to parents to pay their children school fees to enhance teaching and learning of their children.
