President John Dramani Mahama arrived in Doha on Saturday, December 6, to participate in this year’s Doha Forum. He is scheduled to make two major contributions at the event — delivering opening remarks on “Education as Justice in Times of Crisis” and joining a panel discussion on “Economic Empowerment in Africa: Pathways to Inclusive Prosperity.”
Mahama will also hold bilateral talks with the Emir of Qatar, His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, during his visit. He travelled on a Qatar Airways Executive Jet provided by the Qatari state and is expected to return on Sunday, December 7.
The Doha Forum, held annually since 2003, serves as a leading global platform for dialogue, bringing together world leaders and policymakers to explore solutions to pressing global challenges under its guiding theme, “Diplomacy, Dialogue, Diversity.”
