The achievements of the Member of Parliament (MP) for Nhyiaeso constituency in the
Ashanti Region, within the three years he has been in office is a testimony that Dr,
Stephen Amoah, is not only academically good and witty debater, but also heavy on
substance and development.
His constituents are equally awestricken by how the MP's presence is pronounced in every
nook-and-granny of the constituency with developmental projects dotted everywhere within
the area.
Documented with pictorial evidence in a 63-page book, the MP's achievements, span from
social, educational and economic support for the Nhyiaeso constituents.
Chiefly amongst the projects under the educational support are: the construction of an
ongoing GETfund’s 36-unit classroom block for State Experimental Basic School, providing
portable water for school children at Patasi M/A Basic School, portal water for school
children at Adiebeba M/A Basic School, Risograph for bulk printing of examination question
papers for all school, as well as the provision of local and foreign scholarships for the youth
of the constituency.
The rest are: the creation of development committees to spearhead growth 1,100 dual desk
furniture for 2,200 basic schools’ pupils, Risograph for bulk printing of examination
questions for all basic schools, annual MPs Mock Exams for JHS students in all basic
schools, providing mathematical sets for al JHS 3 students dues for B.E.C.E, donation of
learning materials to all basic schools in Nhyiaeso, providing computers and a printer for
Opoku Ware school, providing computers and a printer for St. Hubert Seminary SHS,
providing computers and a printer for Kumasi Senior High Tech. School, providing
computers and printer for Prince of Peace Girls school, amongst others.
More so, providing computers and printer for J.A Kufuor school, portable water for school
children at Patasi M/A Basic school, portable water for school children at Adiebeba M/A
Basic school, renovation and painting of state experimental basic 1 school, renovation and
painting of state experimental basic 2 school, supporting the construction of J.A. Kuffour
SHS Fence wall project, local scholarships championed solely by the MP and foreign
scholarship for the youth of Nhyiaeso.
Under the social and economic support from 2021 to 2023, evidence shows that Dr. Amoah,
the deputy minister for finance, has purchased a brand-new Toyota Hilux to enhance security
in the constituency.
Also included in the MP’s achievement with the three years, an unprecedent feat for a first
time MP, are: purchasing a brand new Nissan Urvan to support transportation, first Astroturf
pitch at Kwadaso Estate – completed, second Astroturf pitch at Atasemanso – ongoing,
establishment of Kumasi F.C. to unearth the youth sports, creation of Nhyiaeso development
office at Paraku, fixing the Atasemanso community market gate to promote security, portable
water for Adiebeba community – completed, amongst others.
Portable water for new Kegyasi community – ongoing, supporting the youth in artisans trade
(barbers, hair dressers & tailors etc.), health screening for good people of Nhyiaeso
constituency are also some of the achievements of the former deputy minister of Trade and
Industry.
Further added to his acronym as a person who is living up to the billing as a national asset, Dr
Amoah, will be leading his constituents to launch a special bin initiative on 1 May, 2024,
under the theme ‘Keep Nhyiaeso Clean and Green’ to usher in the trees planting come June 7,
2024, along all the streets in Nhyiaeso.
The special bin initiative is to ensure cleanliness within Nyhiaeso, as more bin would be
place at vantage points within reach for people to be dumping refuse in it.
