The New Crusading GUIDE’s trail of the people behind Strategic Energy Forum, the group which has launched scattering attacks on the person and office of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Ghana National Petroleum Company, (GNPC), Dr. K.K Sarpong, is revealing starting details.
Our findings to authenticate the actual location of the group, after it launched all manner of allegations against Dr. K.K last week has proved futile. Their location and the contact numbers however led to a residence at airport in Accra.
When this reporter called the residence a male voice answered the call and retorted “This is not the office of any Strategic Energy Forum. I am living in my own house and do not know any such group. Please, don’t call my house again.”
The group last week alleged that the GNPC boss had employed a gentlemen with the staff description as driver/security unilaterally, without going through due process; with a basic salary of GH¢8, 800 whilst the chief driver at the corporation with 23 years’ experience is paid GHc4, 000.
The allegations after our investigations indicated were cooked statements just to tarnish the good image of the hard working CEO.
This reporter has been told that all drivers at the corporation went through the due process of GNPC before their employment, hence the allegations that Dr. Sarpong had autocratically employed staff to the company was false.
“The GNPC boss has full right to employ staff to the company to help him achieved his dream towards the success of the company” this reporter was told.
This paper’s investigations also revealed that Dr. Sarpong has no hand in the downfall of the then royal bank as purported in the release, since the GNPC boss left the bank before its collapse.
However, Dr. Sarpong, we were told has also since his appointment created opportunity for more than 46 people to improve works at GNPC and not to destroy it as bandied by the group.
