Wulomo for Osu Klottey, Wulomo Nuumo Noi Osekan Kpeneku II, has rebutted a publication on the front page of the New Crusading Guide, with the caption “KLOTTEY WULOMO IS NOT ‘SHITSE’ OF OSU on Monday 10th March 2020.
According to Wulomo Nuumo Noi Osekan Kpeneku II,this is uncalled for in the already dichotomized chieftaincy affairs of Osu.
He stated further that the publication unfortunately sought to dishonour, degrade and take away the true status of the klottey Wulomo and the Seitse (Stool father) from them for no discernible reason.
“If is not for Greed, corruption and misappropriation of lands and properties that belong to the entire people of Osu , there is no reason why the “stool Secretary ” of the Osu Mantse would want to denigrate the Osu Klottey Wulomo and the Osu Seitse”, He said.
He indicated that there are some nefarious characters hiding behind the Osu Mantse curtains scrambling for preeminent position, power, popularity that cannot and does not lie in their line of inheritance in the OSU Traditional structures from time immemorial.
“It is gravely inconceivable for a “Council of Osu ” to descend on the klottey Wulomo and the seitse (Stool Father) the victim of that unwholesome publication who by customary knowledge and usage are the Forebears of Osu Traditional set or structure” Adding that ” reading the statement of the “stool secretary” Nii Okwei Nortey, it is sad to note the level of decadence that greediness and corruption has brouhgt the hitherto highly respected “Council of OSU Mantse”.
He asked whether there is a difference between this council of Osu Mantse and that of which klottey wulomo and the Seitse are members.
“It is very disturbing and inconceivable to hear from this same council from a public newspaper debunking and scrambling for power when in fact there is nothing to fight about,” the wulomo explained
He continued that it is shocking that Nii Nortey Owuo III Osu Mantse could soon forget the sacrifices and battles that the wulomo before his initiation as a Klottey Wulomo fought for him.
It is further shocking revelation to know the amount of hidden and vain hatred that Nii Nortey Owuo III has developed against Nii Teinor III Seitse (Stool Father) who single handedly financed activities in support of him.
“We therefore demand to know the gravity of traditional abomination that premised the unwholesome publication in the new Crusading guide newspaper instead of a “round table” discussion over their misunderstanding,” saying “it is also sad to note that Nii Nortey Owuo III, instead of calling for peace had rather served his confidants with “gun powder” he pointed out.
He therefore want the “Stool Secretary ” to know that he did this to smartly cover his mischievous acts which he is aware that the Klottey Wulomo and the seitse (Stool father) are the only persons who could stand up against him and his cronies.
It is a known history of OSU that the Osomohene which is now corrupted as Osiahene is a servant of the Stool Father ” Seitse” and for that matter “The Stool”.
The Osomohene (Osiahene) is a stool servant in the Kinkawe Dzaase and not a King Maker as claimed, saying he takes his wages after performing his duties, unlike other traditional office holders of the Kinkawe Dzaase who performs their duties according to their position.
The Klottey Wulomo is an axiomatic knowledge in the history of OSU that the Nadu Wulomo – Nortei Doku was the ruler of the Osuwem family from the Osudoku district, the first stellar who met the nungua Kpleshie worshippers of the Klottey Lagoon Deity about the year 1600.
It is also recorded that ” the Klottey, like most lagoon gods remained the landowner and the Klottey Wulomo is to this day the nominal owner of all the OSU land and has still speacial share of town revenue” Ref: Social Organization of the Ga people by M.J. Fields, page 197).
” We would want remind “Mr. Stool Secretary ” that the Klottey Wulomo is the first stellar on the land and his right of ownership as handed down to him by the Nungua people has never been changed by his (Stool Secretary ‘s) almighty Akwei Vrs Awuletey Judgement in 1960.
In answer to his reference to the chieftaincy Act 2008, Act 759, we advise him to stop throwing dust in the eyes people of OSU.
He said it is only a thief who would pretend to overlook the prevalent existence and authority of the Wulomo within the Ga – Dangme and for that matter OSU Traditional structures.
The Klottey Wulomo is as he rightly said is a revered high priest, “we by this message reminding the “Stool Secretary ” that priestly and sacred duties as the Klottey Wulomo did not and cannot take away his right as the nominal owner of land bestowed to him as the priest of Klottey.
We further point out to the “Stool Secretary” that the alacrity with which he cited the two laws in attempt to debunk the Klottey Wulomo and the seitse (Stool Father) has rather exposed him and his cronies.
