Information gathered has indicated that the Director of Pantang Hospital, Dr. Frank Baning who recently got himself engrossed in land matters at Pantagn has orchestrated attacks on Nii Agyeman Kesi III, Divisional Head of the Ga Paramount Stool and Land Committee Chairman of Nii Afutu Brempong family.
Dr. Frank Baning has been in the news lately for marking peoples’ buildings for demolition without any Court Order. His actions were believed to be an adventure he is pursing for some top government officials. An action the Nii Afutu Brempong family kicked against.
Meanwhile, Dr. Frank Baning is said to have taken his agenda to another level, starting personal vendetta against top Ga Traditional leaders.
The attacks on Nii Agyeman Kesi III occurred on Monday at the premises of the Pantang Hospital when Nii Agyeman Kesi III, Divisional Head of the Ga Paramount Stool went to the hospital to meet the Deputy Minister for Employment and Labour Relations.
Information is that, upon reaching there, some thugs alleged to be contracted by Dr. Frank Baning pounced on Nii Agyeman Kesi III and his people, and beat them claiming they are landguards.
Sources indicated that the incident looked as a planned attack purposely meant for the Heads of the Afutu Brempong family because of the seeming impasse between them and Dr. Baning over lands.
This paper has however established that Deputy Minister for Employment and Labour Relations was at the hospital to meet management over some on-going development regarding poor administration of the Hospital under DrBaning.
According to sources, both Senior and Junior staff of the Pantang Hospital are against the poor managerial and administrative style of Dr. Baning for which matter attracted the attention of the Deputy Minister who was at the hospital to keep himself abreast with developments.
This paper has gathered that, Dr. Frank Baning’s action of assuming the role of a landguard under the pretense of securing and protecting government lands is not being supported by workers.
Meanwhile, snippets of information received are that Ga Asafoatsemei are preparing themselves to besiege the Pantagn Hospital over the attacks on the Divisional Head of the Ga Paramount Stool.
They said the attacks and accusations levelled against the Divisional Head of the Ga Paramount Stool, NiiAgyemanKesi III is an insult not only to his self but to the entire Ga State.
Meanwhile, Chiefs and elders of Pantang in an interview sets records straight and pointed out that NiiAgyemanKesi III is not a landguard as claimed by Dr. Baning.
They said Nii Agyeman Kesi III is a revered Elder in the Ga State and for that matter, proper action will be taken against Dr. Baning for that.
