Intelligence gathered by the New Crusading Guide newspaper has revealed a serious plot being hatched for the removal of Mr. Stephen Nana Kwame Asamoah – Boateng, the District Chief Executive (DCE) from office.
Investigations conducted by this paper from the Amansie District came out that the Ashanti regional 1st vice chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwabena Nsenkyire who is believed to belong to the camp of the Member of Parliament for Odotobri, and some constituency executives of the party have connived to peddle blatant lies and falsehood to tarnish the image of the DCE for Amansie central.
Investigations revealed that Mr. Kwabena Nsenkyire who double as the Ashanti Regional Coordinator of the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) has in recent times been jumping from one radio station to the other verbally attacking and accusing the Amansie Central DCE of meddling in illegal mining activities otherwise known as galamsey.
Credible sources available to this paper after thorough investigations further revealed that in the year 2018 after Mr. Stephen Nana Kwame Asamoah Boateng has taken office as DCE, Mr. Kwabena Nsenkyire approached him and requested for a land to enable him embark upon galamsey activities but the DCE refused him and made him aware that the lands are owned by the traditional authorities in Asante Bekwai which he the DCE has no control over and that the assembly does not entertain galamsey activities.
Our checks disclosed that since then Mr. Kwabena Nsenkyire has connived with some of the NPP constituency executives within Odotobri whom the DCE is not giving them room to also operate as illegal miners per our information, have started undermining the DCE for no reason.
Information available to this paper also revealed that Mr. Kwabena Nsenkyire during the recent general elections was on the airwaves accusing Mr. Stephen Nana Kwame Asamoah Boateng of chasing galamsey operators with the state security at mining sites instead of focusing on the elections.
Our checks conducted within most of the mining communities within the Amansie central did not cite the DCE for involving himself in any illegal mining activities but rather described the numerous attacks launched by the Ashanti regional NPP 1st vice on the Amansie central DCE as a hatred and President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo should not pay any attention to that.
Most of the residents in the Amansie central this paper spoke with lauded their DCE for his hardworking spirit which has brought total transformation to their lives and development in the area.
They appealed to the President to retain Mr. Stephen Nana Kwame Asamoah Boateng in his next administration to continue to do more in the coming years to make the Amansie central district the best in terms of development.
