Tanko Foundation to Expand Youth and Sports Support
In his address, Hon. Tanko commended the Duamenefa Foundation for its sustained efforts in promoting peace and using sports as a tool for social transformation. He announced that the Tanko Foundation would continue to collaborate with the Duamenefa Foundation to empower young people through education and vocational training.
“As part of our commitment to the next generation, we will expand scholarship opportunities, strengthen the Duamenefa Vocational School project, and support referee and coaching clinics to enhance sports leadership and professionalism across the Volta Region,” he said.
He emphasized that these initiatives were deliberate steps aimed at grooming responsible, skilled, and patriotic leaders who would contribute meaningfully to the nation’s progress.
Duamenefa Football Finals Crown Champions
The celebration also featured the grand finale of the Duamenefa Peace Tournament, where Viefe Torkor FC from Torkor defeated Banana Inn FC in a thrilling contest to lift the championship trophy. Hon. Tanko congratulated both teams for their discipline and sportsmanship, describing the tournament as “a movement that instills values of unity, teamwork, and peace among the youth.”

Hon. Tanko also paid glowing tribute to Evangelist Emmanuel Ketaman Evortepe, the Founder of the Duamenefa Foundation, for his vision, selfless leadership, and unwavering dedication to peace and community development.
“His foresight and commitment have brought this noble dream to life. He reminds us that one person’s conviction, pursued with discipline and faith, can transform entire communities,” he said.
