The Acting Deputy General Secretary of the Concerned Comrades of CPP , Afelik A. Agoba, has called on the Central Committee of the party to consider and adopt the decision of the founders of the party and proceed with immediate effect to set up a truly Independent Committee of competence and ideologically grounded comrades to lead the party .
“The National Chairperson and the Leader of the Convention People’s Party (CPP), Council of Elders and Founders should call for an emergency Central Committee meeting as soon as possible to tackle the situation.
According to Mr. Agoba, the Central Committee works hand in hand with the Council of Elders and therefore must ensure that the party is organized in accordance with the dictates of the constitution of the party.
Mr. Agoba at a press conference in Accra, indicated that a stakeholder dialogue led by the Founders of the party has outlined measures that should be followed to resolve the crises crisis in the party. One of them was the need to form an independent Committee to see to the election of new executives of the party from the polling station to the national level.
