On 15th February 2025 ,Dennis KOFI BOYE, a welder at the Japan Motors Nsuanano Trotro station at Adenta Lakeside was shot dead by some fraudsters “Sakawa’ young men without any provocation.
Boye was in his vehicle being driven by his brother (Francis Amekudzi) when the incident happened.
He was hit by a stray bullet fired by the fraud boys who were at the time fighting in a house; killing him instantly.
Since the incident, attempts are being made to cover up the heinous crime and as a result the family of the victim has petitioned the Inspector General of Police (IGP), George Akufo Dampare, to intervene and ensure the arrest and prosecutions of the perpetrators of the crime.

PETITION FOR COMPREHENSIVE INVESTIGATION INTO THE MURDER OF ONE DENNIS KOFI BOYE OF ASHALEY BOTWE, LAKESIDE ESTATE ,JAPAN MOTORS
Dear Sir/ Madam
My name is Rev Emmanuel Amuzu Lagoh, a resident of ASHALEY BOTWE LAKESIDE ESTATE JAPAN MOTORS. On Sunday 15th of February, 2025, at about 19:40 hours, I received a phone call from one of my brothers by name Mr. Kumordzi of Central Mosque Japan Motors Nsuanano informing me that, there were sporadic gun shot in a house opposite the Mosque and that the rate at which the guys were firing indiscriminately, life could be lost hence the need to call for Police Intervention.
Quickly, I made a telephone call to the Lakeside Estate Police for assistance. Though it took them an hour and over, they eventually visited the scene.
Unfortunately, before their arrival, one of our neighbors, Dennis KOFI BOYE, who was in his vehicle being driven by his brother (Francis Amekudzi), driving along the rough road was hit by a bullet. He died instantly from the gunshot. According to the eye witness, being the driver, as they were driving on the rough road along the Central Mosque, the owner of the house came out with the gun, pointed it at their car and fired. The bullet passed through the windscreen of the car, hitting the deceased on the chest in the passenger’s seat.
The cause of the fight was not known and what might have necessitated the fight, resulting in the indiscriminate firing is also yet to be known. Sir, it would interest you to know the perpetrators of this heinous crime are walking free men in the area.
After the incident, he owner of the house went to the Community 4 police station and made a complaint. He was arrested, including other occupants of the house, as well as the one who shot and killed the deceased. As a matter of fact, all the suspects arrested were released without any proper investigation. Not even a witness statement was obtained from the brother who was driving the driving the deceased before the unfortunate incident took place. Also, they have failed to put them before court.
Information I picked on the ground indicates that the suspects were SAKAWA guys and that Commander and his Crime officer were compromised, hence their inability to conduct serious investigation into the murder of our brother. Please, Sir, I am petitioning to seek justice for our late brother, pleading that thorough investigation is conducted into both the murder of our brother and the unprofessional conduct of the District Commander and the Crime officer.
I plead that you use your good office to intervene for justice to prevail as the conduct of the District Commander and Crime officer leaves much to be desired. They’re of personal and parochial interests than the core mandate of Police Service.
