Ahead of the 2024 general elections, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Chairman for the
Krowor Constituency in the Greater Accra Region, Joseph Attah Jimah, has boldly
disclosed that no candidate in the presidential race can be a threat to the Vice President,
Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
According to him, the NPP flagbearer stands tall ahead of his contenders and has become the
people’s favorite political leader to take over from President Akufo Addo
According to him, Dr. Bawumia’s achievement as a Vice President cannot be marched with any
presidential hopeful in Ghana currently.
Speaking in an interview with Journalists at his residence in Accra yesterday, Mr. Jimah
described Dr. Bawumia as a development inclined leader who is passionate about seeking the
welfare of the people of Ghana.
“When you compare the performance of Mr. Mahama when he was a Vice President to that of
Dr. Bawumia as a Vice President, it is clear that the NPP Flagbearer has performed better than
the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Candidate,” he stated.
He noted that the best person to help Ghana to achieve the needed and expected development is
Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and not Mahama who has failed to be a responsible leader.
He disclosed that most of the great achievements by the current government were through the
leadership of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
The Krowor Chairman was confident the NPP will break the "8" with based on the current record
and achievements.
"Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia can only be judged when he has served the country as a substantive
president of the Republic but not when he is serving as a vice president,” Chairman Jimah stated.
Touching on the Krowor Constituency seat, Mt. Jimah assured that the NPP will occupy the seat
in Parliament after the December elections due to the progress made in the constituency
