The   AbolaPiam, TunmaWe has outdoored, Nii Ayikuma Tieku Baah Tackie OblieII, as the Royal House clan regent and heir apparent to the Ga State throne in future deliberations.

His initiation to the two positions were earlier conducted by the late Nii Molai, Seitse (Stoolfather) of the Royal AbolaPiam, Tunma We Dynasty Clan of Ga Mashie in 2008, ostensibly to succeed, Nii Tackie Oblie II, popularly known as ” Ayitey Canada”, a claimant to the Ga Mantse Stool until his death in 2016.

According to the Principal Elders who performed the short but impressive ceremony at  the Ga  Mashie enclave, it was their prayer  that the outdooring of the regent was imperative in view of the fact, though it has been acknowledged by historical antecedent and proven beyond doubt  by eminent historians that, it was the turn of Abola Piam to ascend the Ga Mantse Stool after the death of Nii Amugi Sorse and his subsequent burial in 2007,the position has been usurped  by other Royal Houses with the connivance of some elders of Abola Piam with the excuse that, the clan lacked a candidate.

The Elders explained that, it was as a result of that confusion and subsequent illegality, that some of the elders from AbolaP iam broke front with some of the elders and also installed Tackie Oblie to claim the stool while installing Nii Tieku Baah to stand by as regent and heir apparent to the Stool.

The Principal Elders said during his confinement, the young heir apparent was schooled in traditional norms and practices to acquire the art of statesmanship and also gather the knowledge on land boundaries as pertaining in other jurisdictions.

They said his selection to the high office was premised on the fact that, he has a blood lineage to one of the astute Ga Mantse, the late Nii Tackie Oblie, being his direct great grandson.

The Kingmakers said on the contrary when such heir apparent identities were not made public to keep pressure from them, this time they have been compelled to disclose the identity of the future heir apparent and regent to the clan in an unprecedented norms and practices to ward off any challenges which has characterised the Ga chieftaincy public domain.

They said the issue of exposing his identity was also base on the conclusion that, bringing him to the public domain would undoubtedly ensure that he gained the necessary respect and recognition which would thrive on good leadership and respect for traditional norms and practices with regards to the clan historical heritage adding that, he would now be accountable under everybody’s scrutiny.

According to the Principal Elders, this new drive was the first step in a bid to codify the succession lineage of the clan to avoid disruptions whenever a vacuum was created in the Royal House adding that, it also eliminates the unnecessary schemes and challenges from people who little deserve the position(s).

Reacting to his elevation to the two important traditional positions from the Royal Clan, Nii Tackie Oblie promised that with the unflinching support from the Elders, he was ready to chart a new path for Abola Piam to reconnect their past glory within the Ga State adding that lack of leadership within the Clan led to their birth right of ascending to the Stool of Ga Mantse being sold out with the flimsy excuse that, they lacked a candidate.

He said with the challenges in the Ga State coupled with great expectations from the people of Abola Piam, the sacrifice would go beyond an individual in the driving seat, but rather would embrace all and sundry to fight the cause to achieve the common goals of prosperity and development, guided by unity in purpose.

Nii Tackie Oblie promised good traditional leadership to Abola Piam by ensuring that all landed properties belonging to the Clan were properly given administrative prioritize attention for the sake of unborn generations while those which have illegally acquired were retrieved with recourse to rule of law.
