The Dome Kwabenya Constituency in the Greater Accra on Sunday, witnessed the launch of Mike Oquaye Jnr’s parliamentary campaign, marking a significant milestone in the lead-up to the 2024 general elections.
The event, held at Kwabenya SHS, was attended by a large crowd of supporters and party faithful.
In his address, the Parliamentary Candidate for the Constituency, Ambassador Mike Oquaye Jnr emphasized the need for unity and hard work within the party, urging supporters to put aside differences and work towards a common goal.
He expressed gratitude for the opportunity to serve as the parliamentary candidate and pledged to work tirelessly for the constituency.
The campaign launch also saw Oquaye Jnr outline his vision for the constituency, built around five pillars: education, infrastructure, health, security, and employment empowerment.
He highlighted his achievements in the constituency, including human capacity building, clean-up initiatives, and support for drivers and passengers.
Mike Oquaye Jnr also took the opportunity to criticize the opposition, emphasizing the NPP’s achievements and the need for continuity.
He urged supporters to vote for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and himself, promising a “brand-new presidency” and a “tear rubber MP.”
National Women Organiser, Kate Gyamfua, also encouraged the party members to embark on a house-to-house campaign to increase votes for the constituency, dubbed the “world bank” of the NPP.
Her call to action emphasizes the importance of grassroots engagement in securing a winning margin for the party.
In a rallying call to party members, Aaron Mike Oquaye Snr, former Speaker of Parliament, emphasized the need for unity and forgiveness within the party ranks to ensure victory in the upcoming 2024 general elections.
Inaugurating the campaign Team, Oquaye Snr stressed that Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the party’s presidential candidate, has a transformative vision for Ghana, unlike his opponent, former President John Dramani Mahama, who failed to introduce a single policy during his tenure as Vice President.
Oquaye highlighted Bawumia’s digitalization agenda as a game-changer for Ghana’s development, urging party members to work tirelessly to ensure his victory on December 7th.
He reminded them that every party worker’s role is a sacrifice for the greater good.
The event was marked by enthusiasm and optimism, with supporters expressing confidence in Oquaye Jnr’s ability to deliver.
