The elected New Patriotic Party (NPP) Parliamentary Candidate for Akim Oda, Mr. Kwasi Acquah has assured the party of garnering massive votes during the coming elections to see the party winning both the Parliamentary and Presidential elections.
Mr. Kwasi Acquah who beat the incumbent MP, William Agyapong Quaittoo during the party’s primaries expressed gratitude to delegates for giving him the honor to serve the constituency.
Mr. Kwasi Acquah averred that winning a political contest is about numbers and achievements and that one’s achievements will determine the numbers he or she will gather during an election.
He said a lot went on during the primaries but delegates have reposed confidence in him for which, he will work hard to protect so as to ensure that the NPP remains in power and continue to hold custody of the constituency seat in parliament.
He said delegates have shown by their votes that they are now willing to have their own as MP and that the people of Akin Oda can now identify with him as the best and preferred candidate to win the seat for the NPP.
Mr. Kwasi Acquah said he was not ready to abuse the opportunity given to him by delegates and stressed that the power to vote him out still lies with delegates and for that matter will ensure that victory is theirs.
Mr. Kwasi Acquah who has supported the constituency in diverse ways even at the time he was not an MP, said he is ready to do more now that he is given much room to work.
He said his election will “inspire me to do more for my people and move to other areas with the work I am doing.”
He averred that Akim Oda has seen some level of infrastructure development from him including the provision of toilet facilities which he built from his personal resources.
He has also constructed hospitals at Ashiaman, Kanneshie, Kukurantumi, Somanya and pledged to do the same for the people of Akim Oda because they have honored him by voting and chosen him as their candidate and future MP.
According to him, he has on several occasions provided movable toilet facilities at durbar and funeral grounds as support to families and communities.
He again noted that the NPP is a great political party whose achievements cannot be underestimated.
According to him, the government under three years has been able to roll out programs and policies that are affecting live positively and hopes that the people of Ghana will again, give the Akufo-Addo led administration the chance to lead the country come December 7.
Mr. Akwasi Acquah called for teamwork among the members of the party to ensure victory for the NPP in Election 2020.
