Owners of Bestlink Ventures Limited (BVL) have officially petitioned the Director General of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service to look into the alleged criminal and fraudulent sale of their landed property in Oyibi by some impersonators.
According to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Bestlink Ventures Frank Lewi, his company owns about 210 acres of land lying and situated at Oyibi which is registered in the company’s name at the Lands Commission.
However, a couple of days ago, he (CEO Bestlink) said he got a call from a certain Joseph Doudu in London claiming to have purchased some portions of the company’s landed property and was doing a background check and that he had gone to the Registrar General to check the Directors of the company and that was why he was calling.
He (CEO Bestlink) said, unfortunately for Mr. Doudu he should have checked with the Registrar General for the Directors before making any payments because it’s clear from the fake indenture which was prepared for him that a certain Boye Engmann who claims to be the Executive Director of Bestlink Venture is an imposter and alien to the company.
He added that his other two accomplices namely Solomon Baafi Hagan and Eric Fiifi Hanson who also signed as witnesses are also alien to the company and lastly the middleman Joseph Mensah who introduced Joseph Doudu to these imposters was arrested by the police yesterday to assist with investigations.
He stressed saying that he’s by this publication cautioning the general public to be clever with such fraudulent elements in the system who uses all kinds of fake documents to dupe unsuspecting customers
