Heavy tension is mounting in the Amansie Central District in the Ashanti region following the recruitment of Machomen by the District Chief Executive (DCE), Michael Donkor popularly called Kwaku Boadi.
The machomen according to sources, were recruited to intimidate and harass school feeding caterers who have been engaged by the government over 5 years to cook meals for school pupils in some beneficiary basic schools in the district.
Intelligence gathered by the New Crusading Guide newspaper, revealed that the DCE Michael Donkor, was sitting comfortably in the District Assembly at Jacobu, the district capital of Amansie central issuing instructions and orders to the Machomen who usually move in two taxi cabs with some armed police personnel also in the District Assembly vehicle stormed the Jacobu SDA primary, Homase-Asikasu primary schools amongst other basic schools where they caused damage to meals on fire being prepared for basic school pupils.
They also attacked the wife of the immediate past DCE, a school feeding caterer who tried to question and prevent the thugs from going ahead with their misconduct.
This development has resulted in creating huge tension in the Amansie central district because most of the residents and the teeming NPP sympathizers and members are calling for the immediate dismissal of Michael Donkor because he has misconducted himself and had disgraced the president of the Republic and the great elephant party in the Odotobri constituency.
