Dr. Michael Kyeremateng has officially declared his intention to
Contest the Asikuma Odoben Brakwa Constituency seat on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Speaking at the launch of his campaign, Dr. Michael Kyeremateng who is also the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of C4C Homeopathy Clinic, said he has examined himself, his passion, his training, his love for the party, competence, his people’s needs, and have seen that, among anyone with the intent to come, he is the only one that can also attract floating voters and great love from the opposition party.
“…I have the capacity to assume this leadership role,” he said.
He said he has identified the many challenges confronting the people of his constituency and promised to continue to fight since “we have already started fighting, push and highlight our challenges to the powers that be, to prescribe solutions to them in the parliament house of Ghana.”
He appealed for support from his people to help catapult him to be their Member of Parliament so that together with one voice, they shall be victorious.
He also called on the youth, the old, men and women to support and pray for his agenda.
“Like I said, I have already started working, have fixed more than 5 boreholes in the various communities, have reshaped 5 major community roads, have completed an uncompleted chip compound , currently building a KG Block for Mante Presby Commercial, have giving 5 scholarships to wards of various delegates at the nursing training college, have served 600 delegates and their spouse with each securing a healthcare policy worth 10,000gh costing not less than Six Million New Ghana Cedis, which has helped and saving the lives of most delegates on weekly bases, and have also giving employment to not less than 20 family members of delegates etc without been an MP, nor without any Government Appointment- as a self-employed professional and entrepreneur, have been able to use my personal hard earned resources to achieve the above and in the light of this, is why my polling station officers, electoral area coordinators, opinion leaders etc are calling on me to declare officially and contest.”
He also expressed great appreciation to his people who have kept voting for the NPP for both presidential and parliamentary.
Dr. Michael Kyeremateng however said, the area still lacks development, employments amidst other social interventions.
He mentioned that in the 2020 elections, the NPP saw the President of the Governing Party NPP winning with – 29,878 (56.03%) and in 2016, 25,798 (54.86%).
“…and in our last elections we saw the NDC winning the parliamentary seat for the second time after 2012 with 28,175 (52.54% and the NPP: 25,454 (47.46%) making a difference of 2,721 against the NPP.”
“It is in the light of the above analysis and lack of further improved developments after PC Appiah Ofori ended his term in 2012 resulted in the cry of the delegates looking for who will be their Moses, who will be able to be a unifier to lead the good people of AOB Constituency And the NPP to the PROMISE LAND and the reason why, most of the polling station officers and the electoral area coordinators calling on Dr. Michael Kyeremateng to step forward as a unifier, to restore Peace And Unity in the party and win the seat for the Party and for the District.”
He said he has responded to their call and this call will genuinely bind them for a very long time.
“I put myself and declare my intention to file and contest first of all in the upcoming New Patrotic Party (NPP) Parliamentary primary in the United States of Asikuma-Odoben-Brakwa (AOB). We shall do and make the laws and draw authority’s attention to our challenges and those challenges we can in our collective power do, we shall embark on them,” he said.
