Businessman and brother to Alhaji Mustapha Oti Boateng-, the Chief Executive of Chocho Industries, Addison Boateng Nuamah, has been sworn in as the Omanhene of Akyem Kwabeng in the Eastern Region, with the stool name Daasebre Ayimadu II.
His power of authority was conferred on him by the Paramount Chief of the Akyem Abuakwa Kingdom, Osagyefo Amoatia Ofori Penin II, on Monday June 25, 2018.
Swearing Mr. Boateng unto the throne as the Omanhene of Kwabeng, the Okyenhene, charged Nana Ayimadu II to be strong, truthful and honest in all his dealings as a chief and have the interest of the land and his people at heart. He also cautioned him to keep the oath he had taken before Nananom and the people forever, never to breach any as tradition demanded of him.
“As you have sworn before me today by your own words without any manipulations or influence, remember that, if you dare refuse to respond to my call or the call of your people at any time without the only reason of health challenges, you have broken the Great Oath of the Akyem Stool, and shall therefore face the wrath of the Stool,” Osagyefo cautioned.
Daasebre Ayimadu, after his oath, also pledged his loyalty to Osagyefo and all his people, assuring that he would serve the land with diligence, hard work and honesty and would not compromise on the interest of the people for any reasons. He also called for unity and full support of the people to enable his reign be successful.
The Kwabeng throne, history has it, has been vacant since 2014, following the demise of the late chief- Daasebre Aboagye Oware Nkwantabusa II,
