I extend my warmest greetings to all members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), both home and abroad, especially to the dedicated men and women who tirelessly work for the good of our great tradition.
It is with a heavy heart that I address the recent disturbing events in the Ablekuma North Constituency, where some of our cherished members were subjected to acts of violence and intimidation. As a woman, a mother, a sister, and a committed member of this Party, I am deeply saddened by this turn of events.
Violence has never built anything lasting. It erodes trust, damages unity, and leaves behind scars that take far too long to heal. Politics must always be about ideas, service, and love for country never fear, force, or destruction.
To the victims please know that you are seen, heard, and supported. To the women who continue to hold our Party together at the grassroots despite these challenges, your strength inspires me. To our youth, do not be discouraged. There is a better way, and we must walk that path together.
I call on Party leadership at all levels to take this matter seriously and act with wisdom, fairness, and firmness. Accountability is not revenge it is a way of protecting our values and preserving the dignity of our movement.
As women, we are natural peacemakers. But peace must not come at the cost of silence. Let us raise our voices calmly but clearly, not to divide, but to remind ourselves of who we are and what we stand for. Let’s raise a generation where men don’t raise their hands against women
Let us lead with empathy, speak with grace, and act with courage. The future of our Party and our nation depends on it.
Signed,
Roberta Baaba Pobee.
