A Writ has been filed at the General Jurisdiction Division of the High Court against Larry-Allans Dogbey and Abdul Razak Bawa for publishing statements which are untrue and solely calculated at bringing the administration of justice of the Court into contempt.
The Application, The Republic vrs Larry-Allans Dogbey 1st Respondent and Abdul Razak Bawa 2nd Respondent, Ex-parte Philip Addison, in Suit No CR/0282/2021 is seeking for an Order of Committal for Contempt pursuant to Order 50 of C.I 47.
According to the Suit, Counsel for and on behalf of the Applicant shall move the Court on the Application for committal of the Respondents to prison or sanctions as the Court may deem fit.
It stated that the Respondents, Larry-Allans Dogbey and Abdul Razak Bawa, through their publication have denigrated the sanctity of the Court in a calculated attempt to bring the administration of justice into “contempt, causing disaffection and ridicule, disregard, derision and mockery against the Honourable Judge and this Honourable Court.”
The Court will be moved on Tuesday March 16, 2021.
