The newly-elected Chairman of the Christian Divine Church (CDC), Apostle Alex Aidoo, his Deputy, Pastor Francis Baidoo, and some Senior Pastors of the Pastoral Council of the Church, have paid a courtesy call on the Apinto Divisional Stool at Awudua, in the western region.
The visit by the leadership of the church which has its headquarters at Tarkwa was to officially introduce the new chairman of the church to the chiefs and also thank them for the supportive role they played when then church was facing leadership crisis.
The Tufuhene of the Apinto divisional stool, Nana Adu Panyin, addressing the leadership of the church, called on the chairman and his deputy to take the initiative of bringing all aggrieved persons on board, adding that, the success of the church would depend on how the current leadership unites the church and stay together as one body in Christ
He stressed that the founder of the church, the late John Taylor was a true man of God and a special gift to Tarkwa and Ghana, therefore, the Apinto divisional area took keen interest in the development of the church and would at all times be available to guide and support the church anytime they are called upon to do so, whilst calling on the church to also remember them in their prayers.
Apostle Alex Aidoo, responding to the call by the palace assured the chiefs and leaders gathered that plans are advanced to ensure every aggrieved member of the church comes on board to win souls for Christ, which he believes is the basic principle of Christianity.
He added that their only enemy was the devil, hence he and this deputy would serve in the interest of the church as a whole.
He further admonished that under his leadership the church will see more spiritual and physical growth and promised he was going to hold on to the faith and the legacy of the founder Prophet John Taylor.
The CDC Chairman noted that the church will collaborate with the divisional area to foster a peaceful co-existence between the church and the palace.
