Seth Oduro Boadu, the Municipal Chief Executive of Lower West Akim Municipality in the Eastern Region has rubbished allegations leveled against him by the Asamankese Youth For Development.
The Youth who are being sponsored by the MCE’s Opponents accused him of being arrogant also not performing well in the Municipality.
The MCEs who expressed worry over the allegations said he strongly believes it is an attempt to get him out of office in the President’s second term in office.
According to him, the claims of him being arrogant in null and void. He said he has adhered to each and every one ever since he took charge of the area as the MCE and does not know the whereabouts of the false allegation.
“I’m really surprised that some people want to tarnish my image because of their selfish interest. Since I assumed office in 2017 I have performed to perfection with regards to numerous projects I initiated” he said.
“I know where all these are coming from, you know the MCE position has become vacant where people are yearning for it so I believe there are some people who are behind this because of their interest in the said position”
Mr. Boadu added that he has been accused of not respecting Chiefs and elders in the area.
Despite that, he has dared any Chief who believes he has disrespected him to come out publicly as he believes he has given Chiefs due respect since he came into office.
Reacting to issues that he has underperformed since he came into office, he affirmed he did what was expected of him having implemented a lot of projects for the benefit of the people.
He said, some people are clamoring for his exit from office following the defeat of the Member of Parliament in the December polls and he was of the view, their mindset is ais also changing MCE so there will be a direction.
But according to him, should they have a new MCE and MP there would not be development.
