Angry Asafo members of Senya Bereku in the Central Region have warned the destooled Omanhene of Senya Bereku to Stay away from upcoming Akomase Festival to avoid bloodshed
According to them, Ampabo Kweku Issiw has been destooled but still portraying himself as Omanhene and trying to celebrate 2025 Akomase Festival
Nananom and Asafo companies of Senya Bereku in the Awutu Senya West District of the Central Region are calling on the IGP and other security agencies to beef up security in the community to avoid possible clash ahead of upcoming Akumase Festival
Senya Bereku is fishing community but battling for chieftaincy dispute for the past 20 years between the two royal families.
Addressing a press conference, Leader of the two Asafo Companies, Okyeame Kofi Annan called on those claiming the Omanhene title to stay away from the festival and allowed the youth to celebrate to avoid clashes.
Okyeame Kofi Anan called Minister of Local government Chieftancy and Religious affairs, President and the security agencies to address the the Chietaincy dispute in the community to avoid any possible clash during the festival.
Okyeame Kofi Anan Said they will not allow Nenyi Kweku Issiw to celebrate the festival.
Meanwhile Acting Omanhene of Senya Bereku, Nenyi Akono Kow Nkwanta II also calls peace and Unity ahead of the festival.
He also entreat all Senya Bereku citizens to come back home to foster development.
Furthermore some of the chiefs also called on IGP to intensified security in the community to save lives and properties
some of the chiefs also appealed to DCE for Awutu Senya West, Mp to intervene to maintain peace in the community
