S & P Global; together with Reservoir Management Group Limited have partnered Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to provide a USD 1, 200, 000 estimated Software to support students of the Petroleum and Engineering Department.
It is also to assist them research and acquire the requisite skills to support their respective countries.
At a colourful ceremony at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Kumasi, the Vice Chancellor, Professor Akosua Dickson, on behalf of the entire management of the KNUST expressed gratitude to the management of Reservoir Management Group (RMG) for the partnership.
Prof. Akosua Dickson also hinted that since the over 70 years of its existence as a reputable Tertiary Institution, KNUST has always opened its doors to partner institutions and organisations to support students in academia which has resulted in making its products excel in all their fields of employment.
She further reiterated that Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology would always collaborate and relate to train its students to acquire the needed skills and professions to support their respective countries.
Mr Samuel Duah, the Project Coordinator for Reservoir Management Group Limited on his part indicated, that the USD 1, 200, 000 Software would enhance students of KNUST to boost their research capabilities and also enable both researchers and students conduct more complex analysis and stimulations leading to accurate and ground breaking discoveries.
According to Mr Duah, his outfit had experience in providing petroleum geosciences and reservoir engineering services and that RMG sees the need to equip the next generation of oil and gas professionals with hands-on skills and tools in navigating the most advanced industry tools.
