Founder and presidential candidate of the Ghana Union Movement (GUM) in the 2020 general elections, Rev. Christian Kwabena Andrew, popularly known as Osofo Kyiriabosom, has alleged that the two main political parties- the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the New Patriotic Party (NPP)- are the bane of Ghana’s progress.
Mr. Kwabena Andrews, who is described as a no-nonsense man of God minced no words in his allegation, accusing NPP and NDC of always thinking about the next election and not the good of the people.
Reacting to the Economic Intelligence Unit’s recent report predicting National Democratic Congress (NDC) as a probable victor in the 2024 general elections should its present different candidate, Kyiriabossom observed that the two main political parties have taken over the media discourse leaving their main duty behind and rather talking about who would win the 2024 general elections.
He said, a country with high economic challenges coupled with a high standard of living should not be reduced to determining who would emerge as winner in the next election at this stage.
Kyiriabossom was also of the view that, well-meaning Ghanaians are only interested in the reduction of the high standard of living that would take away their current suffering but not who would become president in 2025.
”The managers of the economy have the sole mandate to turn it around to alleviate the hardship among the citizens, adding that “I can say it on authority that both leaders of the NPP and the NDC are only interested in enriching themselves but not the development of the entire nation as they normally claim.”
Ghana, the man of God noted, can be enveloped with developmental projects when Ghanaians reject the NDC and NPP in subsequent elections for a new party to take control of the nation.
“The NDC and the NPP should not think of power again because the entire populace is tired of their lies when it comes to the country’s development” posited.
