Methodist High School (MEHISCO), Saltpond, will officially launch its 45th Anniversary Celebration on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at Wesley Towers of the Methodist Church Ghana in Accra.
In a press statement dated 25th, October 2025 and signed by the President and Chairperson of the MEHISCO@45 Planning Committee, Dr. Justice Eddie Quainoo, the launch serves as the official curtain-raiser for a year-long schedule of activities.
The launch, organized by the Methodist High Old Students’ Association (MEHOSA) in collaboration with the school’s management and the Methodist Church Ghana, is themed “45 Years of Holistic Education and Methodist Heritage: Celebrating Legacies, Embracing the Future.”
“The launch will kickstart a year-long activities culminating in the Grand Anniversary Celebration at Saltpond in 2026,” Dr. Quainoo stated, adding that the event is designed to “celebrate, reflect and mobilise support towards building on the impactful legacy of the school.”
Again the press release indicated that the occasion will be graced by the Presiding Bishop of the Methodist Church Ghana, The Most Rev. Prof. Johnson Kwabena Asamoah-Gyadu, Headmistress and the Ekunyin Ebusuapanyin of the Old Students.
Further the statement added that the gathering is designed to bring together students, staff, alumni, and other stakeholders.
The statement mentioned that there would be a Heartwarming performances by the school’s own groups, including the cadet and regimental band choir, and cultural troupe.
Dr. Justice Eddie Quainoo, revealed that the event would unveil anniversary project and official anniversary memorabilia.
“the event will showcase heartwarming performances by the school, including the cadet/ regimental band, choir and cultural troupe. There will also be the unveiling of an anniversary project as well as anniversary memorabilia” the statement stated.
