The Executive Secretary of the National Council for Curriculum and Assessment (NaCCA), Dr. Prince Hamid Armah, has donated motorbikes and megaphones to Electoral Area Coordinators of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Kwesimintsim Constituency of the Western Region to facilitate the work of the party.
Each of the nine Electoral Area Coordinators in the constituency received a motorbike and three megaphones to enable them improve their mobility and efficiency as they campaign for the NPP ahead of the 2020 general election.
Presenting the items to the coordinators, Dr. Armah said: “these officers of the party play a very important role in keeping the wheels of our party machinery moving”.
He said as coordinators, their work requires them to be well resourced in order to successfully prosecute the party’s agenda, adding that he would do whatever he can to make them function effectively.
“A united, well resourced and focused party is necessary for victory ahead and as candidate, I will do all in my power to place us on a sound footing for a resounding victory come December 2020”, he said.
Dr. Armah also took the opportunity to explain to them government’s efforts in dealing with the threat of Covid-19 and how its sure-footed response is yielding results.
He enlisted their support for the tough measures government has had to take and urged them to promote the safety measures in their various communities
The Coordinators were grateful for the support and promised to put the items into good use to ensure victory for the NPP in the 2020 elections.
They also pledged to disseminate the message on Covid-19 disease so as to minimize its spread.
Dr. Armah would be contesting for the NPP parliamentary slot for the Kwesimintsim constituency with the incumbent Member of Parliament (MP) for the area, Mr. Joe Mensah, who is believed to have performed very poorly over the past three years as legislator.
The parliamentary primaries has been slated for April 25, 2020.
