A policy Think-Tank of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) called The LAB over the weekend met with the leadership of the Association of Ghana Industries (AGI) to discuss industry challenges confronting the group.
The forum afforded the NDC the opportunity to share with the AGI the party’s vision for the country and to seek the group’s perspective and input into same.
The deliberations focused mainly on the NDC’s flagbearer’s 24-hour economic policy proposal as an anchor for his overarching vision to transform Ghana.
As part of the party’s policies, The LAB also hinted on the fact that the whole idea of their economic transformation will be hinged on export-led economy through modernization and mechanization of agriculture for increased production and value addition.
Again, they indicated that the NDC will promote agro-processing, manufacturing and incentivizing the private sector, particularly the indigenous companies, so as to give them the competitive urge to take the commanding heights of the Ghanaian economy.
