Nestlé Ghana Ltd has launched the Cerelac Akyɛdeɛ Pa promotion, its first national consumer promotion for the brand in Ghana, with a promise of exciting rewards for loyal consumers across the country.
The launch took place on August 21, 2026, at the Labadi Beach Hotel in Accra, bringing together representatives of Nestlé Ghana, the Cerelac team, media partners, retailers, distributors and other stakeholders.
The promotion, which translates as “Good Gift,” is aimed at rewarding mothers, caregivers and families who have made Cerelac part of their children’s feeding journey over the years.
For Nestlé Ghana, the initiative is not simply about winning prizes but also about recognising the trust consumers have placed in the brand.
At the launch, the company said every pack of Cerelac purchased represents more than a product choice, but reflects the commitment of parents and caregivers to give their children a strong start during the complementary feeding stage.
The promotion comes with a number of rewards, including instant cash and mobile rewards, educational scholarships and an all-expenses-paid trip to Mauritius.
Two lucky families will win the grand prize of a trip to Mauritius, with the package covering travel, accommodation and experiences.
The company described the Mauritius prize as an opportunity for the winning families to create lasting memories beyond the usual consumer reward.
Speaking about Cerelac’s position in the Ghanaian market, Deborah Kwabla, Corporate Communication and Public Affairs Manager for Nestlé Ghana, described the product as a household brand that has supported mothers and caregivers as children move from exclusive breastfeeding to complementary feeding.
She explained that Cerelac is intended for children from six months and above and provides a combination of macronutrients and essential micronutrients to support their nutritional needs.
Ms. Kwabla also highlighted the local content of the product, saying Nestlé Ghana sources some of the ingredients and packaging materials used in Cerelac from within the country.
She said the maize used in the production of Cerelac is sourced from Ghana, while wheat powder is also purchased locally, although wheat itself is not produced in the country.
“We are really proud that this is a product that we produce in Ghana, right here in our factory, and we source some of the key ingredients and packaging materials from Ghana,” she said.
According to her, Nestlé Ghana continues to examine the local value chain to identify areas where ingredients and packaging materials can be sourced locally.
She encouraged parents and caregivers of children under five to continue patronising Cerelac, pointing out that the product contains nutrients such as iron and vitamins alongside ingredients including maize, wheat and rice.
The launch also came with a call for the various stakeholders involved in the campaign to play their part in making it successful.
Nestlé Ghana asked the media to help take information about the promotion to consumers across the country, while retailers and distributors were encouraged to make the specially marked promotional packs available and assist consumers with participation.
Consumers, on their part, have been encouraged to look out for the specially marked packs and take part in the promotion for a chance to win the various prizes.
The company said the Akyɛdeɛ Pa promotion was its way of saying thank you to consumers whose loyalty has kept Cerelac in Ghanaian homes for generations.
The campaign is also expected to create excitement among families while providing practical rewards, particularly through the educational scholarships and cash prizes.
For Nestlé Ghana, the promotion brings together three key themes: loyalty, trust and appreciation, while giving consumers something tangible in return for their continued support.
For the two families that emerge as the grand prize winners, there is one destination already waiting: Mauritius.
